Russian man, pilot die in helicopter crash in France

Two males — a pilot and a Russian businessman — died on Friday when a civilian helicopter flying from Switzerland to Monaco crashed in southern France, officers stated.


A regional official stated “two our bodies have been recovered” after the accident, which occurred close to the town of Good at round 2:00 pm.

The victims have been recognized because the pilot of the helicopter, operated by personal firm Monacair, and the passenger, a businessman who was “a Russian nationwide with a Maltese passport”, the official stated.

One other anticipated passenger on the flight from Lausanne to Monaco “cancelled on the final minute”, Monacair advised AFP.
